Body Shop - Grades 9-12Our name comes from the New Testament in the Bible, particularly Romans 12:5, which reads, "...We are all parts of His [Christ's] one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others." It is the Body Shop's mission to take these parts of the body, work on them, make them like new, and insert them into their proper places in order for that body to function properly in Christ.We are not here to be a clique of "religious judges," condemning those whom we do not believe to be in compliance with God's Word. We are, however, here to help students understand more about God and his Love for each one of us. We want students to establish a relationship with God through Christ and to allow His spirit to work through them to reach others in order to show them the same love they experience from this relationship each and every day.Construction Zone - Grades 7-8Construction Zone is a new ministry at the Quest designed specifically for 7th and 8th graders. We meet on the second Sunday night of every month from 6 – 7:30pm in the kidsQuest Annex for Bible Study. This is a Biblically based curriculum designed to help middle school students with the questions and challenges encountered by their age group. Accompanying this Bible Study is a journal the students fill out at home. The journal requires only a little time each week and gives the students extra insight to additional virtues and experiences they may encounter on a daily basis.In addition to our Bible Study, we have an activity once a month. So far our activities have included: Paintball, Wii/Pizza parties, Celebration Station, and a movie night, just to name a few. In the coming year we hope to add additional and different activities to engage our students in good, clean fun. Parents are always welcome and the students are encouraged to invite friends to come along.One of our descriptive verses is Eph. 4:12 which reads, “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”(NIV). We are helping young people with the “building blocks” they now need in order to become God’s leaders of the future. We are, therefore, under construction.

Our StoryOn December 31, 2005 a team of 25 people met for the first time at 6107 I-30 W in Royse City, TX as The Quest Church. This team came together with a vision to plant a relevant, creative, exciting faith community in the fast growing Royse City area.The team was sent out on this adventure by Pastor Paul Blue and Family Fellowship of Greenville. Jim and Meredith Dunn along with their three children – Jad, Joel and Monica became team leaders. Jim had served as Connections Pastor at Family Fellowship for two years prior to becoming The Quest Team Leader. The launch team included David, Kathy & Andrew Bolton; Jeff, Cheryl, Bryce, & Brayden Bridges; Rene, Jan, Tommy & Chloe Vasquez; Dewan & Cindy Holdridge; Misty, Hannah & Averiegh Evans; Jacob Lilly, Ben McCrary, Luke Scott & Sean Davis.On March 25, 2006 the first of a series of monthly preview gatherings was held with 111 people in attendance and an ‘out-of-the box’, culturally relevant, Christ-centered, and relationship-driven faith community began.On September 9, 2006 The Quest Church announced it’s official public launch. 82 people attended the first official gathering and weekly gatherings began at 6pm on Saturday nights. A Sunday morning worship gathering was added on Easter 2007 and in September 2008 a second Sunday worship gathering was added to accommodate the growing number of people at The Quest. Our scope of influence and outreach continues to grow. We’d like to invite you to join us on this great adventure. The Quest is a faith community where you’ll be accepted and valued for who you are.
